Walshaw 4 Pennington 3
Walshaw travelled to Pennington on Saturday and came away with a 4-3 win which takes them to the 50 point mak in a successful first season in the top flight.
Duer to injury and other committments the team the mangement put out bore little resmblence to the side that had proved hard to beat in recent weeks.
From the outset Walshaw penned the home side back and leading scorer Ryan Nowak could have had a hatrick within the opening ten minutes with a bit more composure .As it was Walshaw had to wait until the 20th minute to get their noses in front when the excellent Danny Ellis set up Nowak to open the scoring .This should have really opened the floodgates but the visitors switched off and within ten minutes found themselves 3-1 down after a couple of players switched off at two set plays and a dodgy refeering decision .
After he break Walshaw resumed their pummelling of the home goal and were rewarded when Danny Ellis squeezed a shot in at the far post .Nowak then doubled his tally and got his hatrick from the penalty spot when Danny Goodall was upended in the bo.xJordan Hulme could have made the points safe 5 minutes later but the keeper made a decent save but Shaw held out for the win.
This Saurday Walshaw play their last home game of the season against title chasing Wigan Robin Park the game will be played at Elton Vale with a 2.30 ko
